The Open Road celebrates romanticized journey in a car-biased culture. It explores the unknown and escapes the onslaught of daily life to create space to rethink our place amongst our diverse people and place. We visit destinations just off the main drag or as it is seen passing by.

This collection introduces us to Keydon's curatorial branch. Beyond funding photographers, we also archive vintage postcards, anonymous photographs, topographic maps, travel maps, polaroids, and cameras. We believe that these archival materials provide a historical context of an American spirit as it pertains to vacation, exploration, and fun. In light of such seemingly stressful, politicized, and stressful times, we see no better time that the present to present a positive picture us in pursuit the free-spirited unknown.
